CarbonFarm is looking to hire an AI Agent Intern to come work with us in Paris.

We are a diverse team of 20 people, working towards decarbonising rice farming using satellite imagery and artificial intelligence.

You will be working principally with our Machine Learning Engineers and Chief Architect, but will also have the opportunity to learn from the rest of the company, such as our software engineers and product team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in working at the intersection of technology, science and the environment.

Ideally, you would be comfortable in Python, with a basic understanding of both modelling and how AI agents work.

The role is in-person at Station F in Paris, France, with a flexible start date.

What you’ll be doing 💻

You will be working directly alongside our data and machine learning engineers.

• Develop AI agents to retrieve domain-specific information using tools like Langfuse and Strands
• Develop callable tools for AI agents to perform deterministic tasks
• Engineer and optimise basic AI agent components such as prompts, MCPs and tools
• Extract data from research articles using your AI agents

Qualifications 🎓

• A university degree, in progress, in the domain of software engineering and/or machine learning
  • 👉 The precise degree matters less than having the right skillset!
• Comfortable developing code in Python
• Attention to detail
• Organised, flexible and self-sufficient
• Keen interest in learning new technologies

French is not a requirement as we use English in the office (though it’s useful for day-to-day life).
