About CarbonFarm

CarbonFarm is building a more sustainable and profitable future for farmers by making climate-smart agriculture economically attractive. We focus on rice, one of the world’s largest sources of agricultural methane emissions and freshwater use.

Using AI and satellite imagery, CarbonFarm monitors farming practices and quantifies emissions remotely, bringing transparency and scientific rigour to rice methane mitigation. By combining carbon finance with satellite-based monitoring, we incentivize farmers to adopt more sustainable practices and enable companies and investors to measure impact reliably at scale.

The role

As CarbonFarm grows, we are looking for a Finance Manager to own and help scale our finance and administrative operations.

You will keep our core financial and administrative processes running smoothly, give management a clear and reliable view of the business, and build the systems we need as the company scales.

You will report to the COO and work closely with our part-time CFO, who will support you on more strategic and complex financial topics.

What you will do:

Finance operations

• Own the day-to-day running of our finance operations, including billing, collections, payments and cash management, in coordination with our accounting and tax partners.
• Ensure financial processes and data are accurate, reliable and well structured as the company grows internationally.
• Ensure compliance with tax, VAT & similar regulatory requirements.

Reporting & financial analysis

• Own and maintain monthly P&L, cash flow, and recurring management reporting.
• Own budgeting and forecasting, providing clear visibility into financial and business performance.
• Track & optimise company expenses.
• Strengthen our understanding of costs, margins, and performance across the company and its projects, working with our part-time CFO on broader financial analysis and planning.
